In an old arched, soundproof cellar at Villa Tehilla you will find "The Blues Brothers" ? offering beer, wine, spirits and light suppers every weekend at ridiculously low prices. Plus true atmosphere?

The Blues Brothers is the first (and perhaps only) Irish-Bedouin pub in the world. In the spring of 2002, Amichay and his daughter Hemdat went to Dublin and brought back with them, dizzy from beer, a whole lot of Guinness posters and over 100 funny postcards and ornaments. These found their place on the pub's walls alongside saddles, harnesses and reins from the early 1970s, when Tehilla and Amichay were devoted riders who kept two pure-bred stallions ("Peter" and "Oz", R.I.P.).

The fully air-conditioned pub was opened by Amichay and his son Tom in December 2002 in the charming company of a group of well known and rather drunk doctors who were spending their New Year holiday at Villa Tehilla. It offers Heineken and Goldstar (Israeli beer) from the tap and over 20 brands of bottled imported beer, plus a fine selection of spirits and wine.
For much the year it's warm enough to sip your beer in the garden, in evening breezes under the starry sky. Those who prefer romantic nostalgia can sit inside by the bare walls of the arched cellar, once the sheep pen and today one of the most original and unique pubs in the country. The pub and garden can also host gatherings of up to 120 guests to celebrate any occasion.
"It's a cool autumn evening in Rosh Pina (?) and those determined to make the most of their stay, however, are on the rooftop patio, drinking in the view of the Upper Galilee under a bright star-filled sky."
These are the words of Carl Schrag in "Hadassah Magazine" (Feb 97), written before the Pub was born.
Now, take this scene, picture it summer, walk down to the garden, add a glass of wine or beer ? and you're set!
